"Change ... it's pushing us from behind; it's under our feet moving us daily; it's in front of us always beckoning; it's on both sides of us guiding us toward our calling. Who dares to sneer at another when they are in their transition of change? Don't let it be you. Change is always, it's forever; it's infinite. Without change ... life would not exist." --Rachel Roebuck-Howard.
"Sometimes; you have to take a step back ... and look ahead of you. Sometimes; you have to hold your breath ... so you can breathe. Sometimes; you have to dive into darkness ... so you can find the light. Sometimes; you have to ... you just have to." -- Rachel Roebuck-Howard

Synopsis: "Tough Love"
This story is based on the lives of two African American women, a mother and daughter, who have struggled throughout to define themselves in a world that isn't especially kind to them. They are pulled into relationships with men who are controlling and dominating. In their quest for definition, they have become cold and bitter towards each other, not knowing that the love they seek is within. As Shanice struggles with growing pains, and dysfunctional social capabilities, Raveen tries heartily to hold onto the moving force in her life; her faith in God, while at the same time being pulled laterally into the abyss of Tough Love!
