Melisa’s enthusiasm and adrenaline for chasing stories and her need to give voice to the voiceless, has given her the opportunity to contribute to the Stop the Mold project, a $35,000 grant from the first Challenge Fund for Innovation in Journalism Education in collaboration with the Daily News. She's an alum from the CUNY Graduate School of Journalism with training in Health & Science reporting and Broadcast.
