I am working with rural and tribal groups. My interests range from child rights to working on innovations.

I am involved in research and guiding interns and strongly believe in team work, interested in working on critical issues by designing and executing pilot projects to demonstrate alternative models of development interventions.

CARPED won PoleStar Special Award for Best Social Impact organisation in Health for its work on arresting unnecessary hysterectomies (2018)

Team's idea to create awareness on HIV/AIDS among tribes in their own language competed with 1100 innovative proposals and reached final rounds of World Bank's SARDM. Team successfully developed first educational film in a tribal language in India on HIV/AIDS.

Team is the winner of - "FundsforNGOs -Great Grant Proposals Contest 2013”

Team exposed coerced hysterectomies & greedy practitioners exploiting women and campaign drew national attention which started from a small tribal hamlet of 13 households of them 9 women underwent hysterectomies.

Team stopped age old tradition of child marriages and halted above 480 child marriages in the last 5 years in a district. Team reunited above 650 missing children with their families. It includes raids on dangerous red light areas, factories and circus companies to rescue children. Promoting institutional health care for safe deliveries in Government health centres to reduce IMR, MMR and financial burden on poor households.
