Mohamad Tarifi
Mohamad Tarifi is a PhD candidate in Computer Science working on a computational theory of general intelligence inspired by neuroscience. He received a bachelor of engineering in computer and communications engineering, with minors in mathematics and physics, from the American University of Beirut and was a visiting student of Computer Science at the University of Waterloo. He completed a Masters Degree in Computer Science at the University of Florida (UF) working on mathematical problems in Theoretical Computer Science and Quantum Computing. During graduate school, he worked full-time applying machine learning and AI through various roles in the financial, entertainment, and technology industries. Mohamad actively consults and mentors several young start-up industry and research projects. He also runs an ongoing conference on the future of economics in light of technological changes.
