Maggie O'Hara

As Director of E-Learning for the UNC system, I provide leadership in developing UNC’s online presence, and facilitating the development of a distributed learning environment to enhance inter-institutional collaborations for academic and administrative functions across the University.

Among my responsibilities and duties, in collaboration with leadership from academic, student services and information technology units, I assist with the development of distance and online programs, conduct strategic planning, outreach, and engagement and work to ensure adequate integration and delivery of online services. I explore and create new learning venues for unique populations and promote and organize faculty development opportunities that emphasize instructional technology resources for faculty teaching at a distance.
