Marlette Torras

I am currently a student at Arizona State University at the Walter Cronkite School, for a BA in Mass Communication and Media Studies. I am minoring in digital content and social media, but am interested in journalism as well.

Previously I was seeking a career path in international relations and am still interested in humanitarian pursuits. I am five courses from recieving my certificate as a Government Liaison ( a diplomatic mediator), for emergency management.I have been deployed to disaster relief operations including Hurricane Katrina/Rita and in Austin, Texas. Meeting journalists along the way led to my interests.

I was born in Las Vegas, and raised in the Bay Area of California. I enjoy travelling, especially driving.
