Matthias Trier

I am Associate Professor of Information Management at Copenhagen Business School. I work on better understanding and navigating the challenges of digitalization of enterprises and in society with a focus on the role of social media, electronic communication, information behaviors and collective digital processes of knowledge work in organizations or at the organization's interfaces to customers or partners.

Relevant Topics of Expertise are Enterprise Social Media Case Studies, Social Media based E-Commerce, Customer Behavior in Social Media Environments, Social Media Management, Management in Social-media based Intranets, Collective Digital Work Processes and Contribution Motivations, Dynamic Event-driven Social Network Analysis. I also explore the chances and challenges of Business Process Management in digitalized organizations.

My work with a novel approach to Event-driven Dynamic Social Network Visualization and Analysis lead to the development of a COMMETRIX.net - a downloadable tool employed in several large Enterprises, Governments, and Universities.

I coordinate the special Information Management study programs at Copenhagen Business School, where we want to develop progressive approaches to understand and manage the novel challenges of digitalization in organizations, with a focus on novel information practices in companies.

I offer pitches/talks/lectures/workshops on the above topics and have
international experience as a Lecturer.
