Marianthy Troupos

The granddaughter of Greek immigrants, I was born in Washington D.C. and grew up in Gaithersburg, MD. My friends and coworkers know me best as 'Mudd'.

When I'm not working, I'm traveling, exploring, biking and painting.

In 1998 I attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP), outside of Pittsburgh, for a partial scholarship to play DII Soccer. I graduated in 2002 with a BS in Communications Media.

At the end of 2002 I took a leap of faith and started freelancing at Walt Disney World in Orlando as a Show Technician for Disney Event Group (DEG). A year and a half later, I became full-time. I was also working as a wedding videographer for Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings.

In 2005 I decided it was time for another move, so I transferred up to Bristol, CT to work at ESPN as an Operations Technician. A few years later I became a Technical Director.

In 2011 I finally came to the conclusion that my passion is mentoring, teaching and training. So in August of 2012 I quit my job at ESPN without having another one. I took a second leap of faith and moved back to Orlando to find a job at Full Sail University. After knocking on doors, I started working in Nov 2012. I also freelance on the side for The Golf Channel, ESPN Wide World of Sports and Bruno White Entertainment.

I've recently completed my Master's at Full Sail in Entertainment Business with a Sports Management track. I received a 4.0 and Salutatorian.
