Mubashar Choudry did his residency training at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, later completing a fellowship at the same school. Since his postdoctoral training in New York, Dr. Mubashar Choudry has served several educational institutions in capacities such as Clinical Professor at George Washington Cardiothoracic Institute and Clinical Associate Professor at Georgetown University School of Medicine.
Mubashar Choudry spent 20 years as President of the Advanced Cardiology Center specialty group. Mubashar Choudry is currently the Chief Medical Officer of Advanced Vascular Resources. Concurrently, he lends his expertise to the Washington Cardiovascular Institute in the role of Chief Medical Officer. The institute concentrates on implementing various interventional cardiovascular treatment methods and has gained a reputation for excellence. Dr. Choudry holds other leadership positions at the institute as well, such as chairman of the organization’s quality assurance committee. He also sits on a committee for quality assurance at another area hospital. Among Dr. Mubashar Choudry’s philanthropic endeavors, he serves as President of the Medserve Foundation, an entity focused on educating medical professionals who work in developing countries.
During President Bill Clinton’s administration, Dr. Choudry served as an advisor to the White House Commission on Drug Free Communities. President Clinton appointed him to the position in 2000, a nomination that came as a great honor.
Dr. Mubashar Choudry has accumulated numerous other honors over the course of his career. In 2005, the President of Pakistan granted him the Star of Excellence, or Sitara-i-Imtiaz. He received the award, a prestigious distinction given to civilians, in recognition of his many contributions to the field of interventional cardiology in Pakistan.
