Ms. Amina Muhammad Sani, is an accomplished activist, innovator, and humanitarian with nearly a decade of impactful experience. She co-founded two award-winning organizations: the Compassionate Advocacy for the Poor Initiative (CAPI) and the Nigeria Youth Climate Preservation Network (NYCPN). Both organizations have received widespread recognition for their groundbreaking work, securing numerous grants and prestigious fellowship placements. Under her leadership, NYCPN, officially registered in 2017, has become a leading force in climate advocacy and community engagement, holding multiple global accreditations including UN ECOSOC, UNCCD, and UNEP, which underscore its commitment to sustainable development and environmental restoration.
Amina also holds significant leadership roles in humanitarian initiatives. She is the President of the AREWA Humanitarian Award and Magazines and the Vice President of Humanitarian Award and Magazines, where she oversees impactful projects and initiatives that celebrate and support changemakers across the continent. Her leadership in these roles reflects her dedication to empowering communities, fostering social equity, and recognizing individuals driving meaningful change in Nigeria and beyond.
Her dedication to youth and international engagement is further reflected in her work with UNESCO, where she has contributed to initiatives promoting heritage, creativity, and sustainable solutions for communities affected by displacement and environmental degradation. Amina’s experience spans across program design, community outreach, and policy advocacy, bridging local realities with global frameworks to ensure lasting impact.
In 2022, Amina founded Warm Hug Herbalz, a social enterprise focused on sustainable agricultural solutions. She pioneered a probiotic fertilizer solution, offering a locally sourced alternative to chemical fertilizers, and innovated eco-friendly interlocking tiles from recycled plastics. Since launching its first products in 2024 and beginning sales in May 2025, Warm Hug Herbalz has secured $5,200 in startup funding, generated approximately ₦14,365,400 million in product sales, demonstrating measurable impact and scalability. These initiatives reflect Amina’s ability to translate innovative ideas into practical, community-centered solutions that advance sustainability, food security, and economic empowerment.
Amina is also a celebrated fellow of the SAVVY Fellowship, the African Women Development Fellowship, and an alumna of both the Watson Institute and the Western Union Foundation Fellowship. She combines her leadership and strategic innovation skills to foster transformative solutions that empower underserved communities across Nigeria. Beyond her professional work, she has a keen interest in technology, music, and writing, which she leverages to inspire creative problem-solving and communicate ideas effectively.
