Back my campaign

Muhammed is a community development specialist, social worker, and quality healthcare advocate, and the Founder of Sick Kids Hospital Foundation.

Muhammed has over 5 years experience in non-profit management, social services, and community development. His expertise covers building communities, activating networks to support vulnerable people towards independent living, and reducing social isolation.

Muhammed has worked on several community development projects that have brought social change to people's lives and their communities, which aligns with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 1, focused on eradicating poverty, and Goal 3, dedicated to achieving quality healthcare and wellbeing for all, and Goal 4, committed to promoting quality education.

As a Program Manager, Muhammed led the medical intervention projects of Sakinah Medical Outreach from 2018 to 2023, to reduce the economic (and health) burden of over 5,000 families living in underserved communities.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Muhammed demonstrated his unwavering commitment to the welfare of vulnerable children by initiating the ‘Sick Kids Appeal' platform, which later evolved into a registered non-governmental organization, 'Sick Kids Hospital Foundation', to combat child poverty and mortality by providing free healthcare services. And a total of 362 children benefited from a series of life-changing health programs.

His dedication to the SDGs has earned him some recognition, including the Volunteer of the Year award by the Nigeria Volunteers Award for civic leaders in 2021 and being honored as one of the 20 Most Inspiring Men in Lagos by the Young Africa Leadership Initiative (YALI) Lagos network in 2022.

Muhammed aspires to be a far more successful humanitarian, with the goal of improving the lives of poor Nigerians and becoming a renowned expert in the social sector field.
