Muhammida El Muhajir is a global brand/digital marketing and media strategist, entrepreneur and filmmaker with extensive international travel/study/work experience throughout Europe, Asia, Latin America, Caribbean, and Africa. She has established a solid reputation and network in her field for her visionary strategies for innovative brands such as Nike, Diesel, Pepsico, Jaguar, and Land Rover.
With roles at the renown William Morris Talent Agency and as the Music Marketing Manager at sports powerhouse, Nike, Inc., El Muhajir spearheaded pioneering campaigns and programs with industry heavyweights including Eminem, Outkast, Alicia Keys, and Pharrell Williams using entertainment as a platform to connect brands with influential consumers worldwide.
El Muhajir's experience in technology includes a Fellowship with Meltwater Entrepreneurial School of Technology (MEST) Incubator in Accra where she provided business development expertise to a portfolio of tech startup founders from Ghana and Nigeria and a position as Product Manager at Ringier, where she led the sales and digital strategy operations for the Ghana office of the global media company.
Producing the acclaimed ‘Street Stylez ‘ international fashion tour in Sao Paulo, Tokyo, and Paris as well as the ground breaking documentary, “Hip Hop: the New World Order” exploring the global impact of hip hop, has established El Muhajir as an expert voice on international trends in music, fashion, art, and culture.
El Muhajir has served as a guest presenter at cultural and educational organizations including the US Mission to the United Nations, The Brooklyn Museum, Oxford University, Goethe Institut, and Harvard University where her works have been incorporated into the curriculum in the Women’s Studies and Education departments.
El Muhajir pursued a Master's degree in International Relations at The University of Ghana and received a B.S. in Microbiology with a double minor in Chemistry and Communications from Howard University.
She completed a Data Analytics certification course at General Assembly to enhance skills in handling complex sets of data to create insightful strategies that enhance approaches and comprehension of marketing fundamentals.
In her role as Director of Strategy at WaxPrint Media, she develops digital marketing and media strategies for global brands witha focus on amplification in EMEA markets.
