Muhib Islam

I am an accounting professional specialising in external auditing. I have gained invaluable commercial experience over four years throughout roles in both the private practice and public sector. These roles have afforded me opportunities to strengthen my data analysing in industry sector, financial reporting, annual reports and large accounting datasets where I have worked alongside clients and other firms in an effort to achieve specific and organisational goals. I am able to work effectively on my own in any given circumstance as I have self-initiative and do not rely on supervision to complete a task; this is demonstrated in my academic and professional achievements. I believe my interpersonal skills are a further reflection of my abilities in building client rapport. I have recently completed my Honours in Accounting with focuses in “Audit Committee Effectiveness, CEO Compensation and Financial Reporting Quality” with Curtin University. My aim is to excel in the accounting profession utilizing the skills I gained academically and professionally. In addition to my professional and academic commitments, I am involved in a variety of social commitments and have an avid interest in travelling, experiencing different cultures and sports.
