Ahmad Mukoshy is a pioneering web developer and entrepreneur whose innovative ventures have significantly impacted Nigeria’s tech ecosystem and beyond. Born in Sokoto, Nigeria, Ahmad began his tech journey at age 15. He holds a B.Sc. in Physics from Usmanu Danfodiyo University and a Master’s Degree in Information Technology from the University of Lagos, showcasing a strong academic and practical foundation in technology and business.

In 2010, at just 21, Ahmad launched Yarnable, a microblogging platform that gained widespread recognition and was later acquired by MobiQube Nigeria Ltd. Building on this success, he created yrn.me, Nigeria’s first URL shortener, which facilitated over 5 million links and demonstrated his ability to innovate for the digital age.

In 2013, Ahmad founded GigaLayer, a domain and web hosting company that has grown to support over 14,000 businesses across Nigeria and Africa. GigaLayer has earned numerous accolades, including being named among Nigeria's Top 10 startups by StartupList and receiving the prestigious "Best Startup Company in Nigeria" award from the Nigeria Internet Registration Association in 2019. That same year, the acquisition of Hub8 allowed GigaLayer to expand its reach across the continent, cementing its position as a leader in the African tech space.

Ahmad’s contributions to the tech community extend beyond his ventures. In 2010, Y-Naija named him Nigeria’s Tech Person of the Year, a testament to his innovative spirit and influence. His work continues to inspire and empower a new generation of entrepreneurs, driving growth and innovation in Africa's digital economy.
