I did not find music; the music found me. Regardless of whether we just recently met or if you have known me all my life, if there is anything people know about me, it's that my love for music is an essential part of my identity. Whether listening or playing, music is easily my greatest passion, and it all started on the vibrant beaches of Southern California.

Having to dive right into the new coastal, “surf's up,” culture following a Southern, small-town upbringing was a culture shock. One second I was working on a farm down a long dirt road, and the next I was waxing my longboard anticipating a gnarly day on the waves! While different, I loved immersing myself in the unique culture - the skating, the surfing, and most of all, the music. I did not even seek out music; I enjoyed some songs because they were catchy but I lacked passion. However, the punk rock jams of California ignited that fire.

It was just something about the catchy hooks, the power chords, and the intense vocals of this punk rock movement that drew me in. Before I knew it, I wanted to pick up my guitar and learn a new lick every day!

By the time I moved back down south, I had thoroughly explored various genres including classic rock, grunge, and alternative. Naturally, having gotten back to my dirt road roots, I began to dedicate more and more time to country, specifically folk country. I plan to pursue a career in music very soon, starting with some simple covers of this genre and then hopefully writing my own original tunes! I am so glad music found me out West - now I cannot wait to bring it down South.
