Mumena is a highly experienced professional with over 30 years of expertise in mining, exploration, metallurgy, and energy development. He has played a leading role in advancing mining ventures, renewable energy projects, and institutional frameworks for traditional governance and development.

Mumena has successfully commissioned smelters, pioneered metallurgical processes, and overseen the development of large-scale hydropower and renewable projects. He is widely recognized for his ability to bridge industry, governance, and community development, delivering innovative solutions across multiple sectors.

Current Leadership Roles

• Chairman, Baushi Royal Foundation (BRF): Represents 12 chiefdoms in Luapula Province, focusing on unity, economic empowerment, and benefit-sharing from natural resources.

• Chairman, Chief Tafuna Lungu Chiefdom Trust: Oversees development and asset commercialization in one of Zambia’s largest and most resource-rich chiefdoms.

• Patron, Nsakwa Yaba Kaonde: Provides strategic leadership to a national cultural association representing all Kaonde chiefs across Northwestern and Copperbelt regions.

• Trustee, Naluama Chiefdom Trust: Advocates for benefit-sharing from major hydropower and water resources, particularly from Kafue Gorge projects.

• Board Member, KGL Community Development Company (KGLCDC): Represents traditional leadership interests on the board of Zambia’s largest hydropower-linked community development corporation.

• Chairman, Terra Metals Inc. (Delaware, USA): Oversees international mining investments, exploration, and capital raising.

• Chairman, Lunda Resources: Leads the joint venture owning the Kalaba Mine and CARE licenses in Northwestern Zambia.

• Chairman & Co-Founder, Luapula Hydropower Corporation: Driving hydropower development projects, including Kabwelume and Kundabwika Falls.

• Founder & Chairman, Zaco Investments LLC (Charlotte, NC, USA): Manages real estate, investments, and agribusiness ventures in Zambia and the U.S.

• Founder, Zamsort Limited: Spearheaded exploration and mining ventures, including recommissioning the Kalaba copper–cobalt project.
