Ndumiso Mungwe
Teacher, Web Developer, and Student in Johannesburg
Hey there, I’m Ndumiso. I am studying at the University of Johannesburg, doing B Ed in Senior phase and FET teaching and I am majoring with English and ICT support. I am a fan of technology, web development, and innovation. I’m also interested in reading and education.
The education system is improving the utility of technology in schools for enhanced learning. My aim is to work on enriching the minds of the learners with worthwhile knowledge. I am passionate about driving meaningful innovation in education by integrating technology into teaching. I believe that digital tools like adaptive learning platforms, interactive game-based experiences, and collaborative online projects can make learning more engaging and accessible for all students. My approach encourages critical thinking through project-based learning and inquiry-driven activities, helping learners develop essential problem-solving skills for the future. I also aim to create a safe and inclusive digital space where students can build media literacy, understand digital ethics, and navigate the online world responsibly.
Additionally, I recognize the importance of supporting teacher development by promoting professional training on emerging technologies, ensuring that educators can effectively integrate innovative strategies into their classrooms. Beyond this, I hope to foster creativity and entrepreneurship by guiding students through technology-driven projects like web development, app creation, and multimedia storytelling, helping them apply their skills to solve real-world challenges. By combining my passion for education and technology, I strive to cultivate student-centred, future-ready learning experiences that empower learners and prepare them for the evolving demands of the modern world.
