Murad R. Qubbaj, who holds a BS, MS, and PhD in physics, has a diverse research background.

During his tenure as a postdoctoral research associate at Arizona State University, he worked on mathematical modeling projects related to population and resource sustainability, large city networks, and the interdependencies among occupational specializations in urban economies.

Murad contributed to the design and construction of a structure-based analysis on how these interdependencies affect urban economic transformation, and developed mathematical models to examine the adoption of irrigation technologies in Arizona and the impacts of time delay on social conflict.

Additionally, while working as a graduate research assistant at Florida Atlantic University, he created a model to investigate the effects of short-range homogenous connectivity and long-range heterogenous connection on the stability of a one-dimensional neural field. At Eastern Mediterranean University, he studied the relativistic appearance of rapid-moving objects.
