I feel honored that the community has returned me to a Council seat for 6 terms. Other than being a mother, it has been the most important work I have ever had the privilege of being involved in. Over the last 12 years this community has elected a Council that has worked as a team, while keeping our independence. We have have had passionate and sometimes difficult debates over the challenging decisions that is the Official Community Plan, OCP. The community is experiencing unprecedented growth, not just in the District, but all over the North Shore. Traffic, congestion, detours, have all contributed to anxiety about what we are doing.....are we doing too much? I believe we need the benefits of growth, but we need to pace ourselves and catch up with our infrastructure. We need to co ordinate with our neighbors and hold control over our zoning in order to manage the impact of change. I oppose the pipeline and support amalgamation. We have alot of work in front of us. I am experienced and passionate about this place I grew up in..... I respectfully ask for your continued support on November 15 2014. Thank you!
