Zachary Murphy

With prior internship experience at the digital media company Captivate (Chelmsford, MA), as well as the local radio show, 980 WCAP (Lowell, MA), I am looking for a job in the media field.

During my time at Captivate, I helped find ten to fifteen newsworthy stories throughout the course of seven hours. I would then take the stories and compose a news brief that could be, at max, four sentences.

With 980 WCAP, I worked during the fall of 2010, where I covered high school football games every Friday night through the company's radio broadcast. I also worked at 980 WCAP during the summer of 2014, where I learned how to use the radio switcher, as well as provided the radio hosts with sound bites to use during their broadcasts.

I have also written, and advertised, for the website Beantown Shakedown, which was a New England, sports-based blog that was started by a few of my friends in October 2012. During my time writing for the blog, I covered various New England sports teams, including the New England Patriots, as well as the Boston Red Sox.
