Musician in Los Angeles, California
Murray Lobel is a Los Angeles based artist, who is passionate about writing songs, singing and bringing joy to crowds. Murray's passion for music began at a young age.
Murray first started taking piano lessons as a young boy. Piano led to guitar, guitar led to banjo, and somewhere along the line, Murray picked up bass, mandolin, and of course ukulele.
In high school, Murray studied jazz during the day while bouncing between multiple projects with his friends in the evening--most notably "Woods and Woods and Woods and Woods."
Murray moved from small town Virginia to LA to study musical performance at UCLA and has since started dabbling into synthetic sounds inspired by Bonobo and Clams Casino. Other inspirations include old Kanye, Cold War Kids, Bon Iver, Elliott Smith, Bob Dylan, Kendrick Lamar.
Today Murray Lobel is proud to be yet another multi-instrumentalist singer-songwriter based out of the greater Los Angeles area. He plays in venues and coffee shops in the greater LA area.
