A retired swim coach, Murray Stephens currently focuses his attention on property management. He commands more than 25 years of leadership experience as president and CEO of Stephens Global, which manages commercial properties in seven states from its Maryland headquarters. In addition, Murray Stephens owns and operates the Meadowbrook Aquatic and Fitness Center, a Baltimore athletic facility with two outdoor pools, two indoor pools, and a nearly 2,000-square-foot exercise area that features both cardiovascular and weight training machines. The family-oriented facility also maintains an outdoor play structure in addition to its outdoor children's pool.
Before turning his attention full-time to his properties, Murray Stephens served as founder, CEO, and head coach of the North Baltimore Aquatic Club (NBAC). There, he coached four Olympic athletes who received a total of five gold medals at the international games. Under his direction, the NBAC became a leading destination for US swimmers seeking to qualify for Olympic competition. A member of the 1996 Olympic coaching staff, he also served as head swim coach at Loyola Blakefield High School, where he coached the 1980 team to a National Prep School Championship. Named Coach of the Year by the American Swimming Coaches Association and the United States Olympic Committee in 1996, Murray Stephens has been elected to both the International and the Maryland Swimming Halls of Fame,
