Among other positions during a long journalistic career, Murray Waas has worked as an investigative correspondent for Reuters. He wrote stories for Reuters about the health insurance industry, Wall Street, and politics.

For Reuters, Murray Waas was a winner of the Barlett & SteeleInvestigative Reporting Prize as well as being honored by SABEW with that organization's highest honors.

Murray Waas has also been a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in the category of National Reporting. Murray Waas is a winner of Harvard University's Goldsmith Prize for Investigative Reporting.

Besides working for Reuters, Murray Waas has worked for written for National Journal, the Los Angeles Times, the Boston Globe, Salon.com, Vice.com and Vice Media, the New Yorker magazine, and International Business Times.
