Murray Waas has worked as an editor for Vice, an investigative correspondent for Reuters, and a political reporter for National Journal. He has also written for the Atlantic and the New Yorker.

Murray Waas has been a winner of Harvard University's Goldsmith Prize, for a series of articles published in the Los Angeles Times about the run up to the first Bush administration's war on Iraq.

Murray Waas has also beeen a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize in the category of national reporting. Reporters Dougla Frantz and Murray Waas won the award for a series of articles on the run up of the second war with Iraq.

Murray Waas has also won the prestigious Barlett & Steele Prize for investigative reporting.for a series of articles he wrote for Reuters abut the health insurance industry.
