Murray Waas has been a winner of the Goldsmith Prize. Murray Waas has been a finalist for the Pulitzer Prizein the category of national reporting. Murray Waas and Douglas Frantz were nominated for their reporting about the covert foreign policy of the first Bush administration leading up to the war with Iraq.

For his work with Reuters, Murry Waas was the winnerof the Barlett & Steele Prize for business investigative reporting for a series of articles about the health insurance industry. Murray Waas has also won SABEW honors.

Murray Waas has also been an investigative editor for Vice, a correspondent for National Journal, and an investigative reporter for Reuters. Waas has also written for the Boston Globe, the Los Angels Times, and New York Times-- and magazines such as the Atlantic and New Yorker.
