Murry Gunty
CEO, Investor, and Philanthropist in Boca Raton
Murry Gunty is an American private equity investor and businessman. He is the founder and chief executive officer of Blackstreet Capital Holdings, a private investment firm based in Chevy Chase, Maryland, and the founder and chief executive officer of Black Bear Sports Group, the largest owner and operator of ice hockey rinks in North America. Gunty founded Blackstreet Capital Management in 2002 and established Black Bear Sports Group in 2015. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Harvard College and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School. Earlier in his career, he worked as an analyst at The Blackstone Group, as a partner in the real estate principal investment group at Lazard, and as a general partner at Jacobson Partners. Gunty serves as chairman of the board of Friends of Fort Dupont Ice Arena, a nonprofit youth hockey organization based in Washington, D.C.
