Murshid Alam is a Rohingya youth leader, educator, and human rights advocate based in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh. He is the founder of the Rohingya Youth Union (RYU), a network of over 1,000 youth across refugee camps working to strengthen community resilience, leadership, and advocacy. With extensive experience in research, policy analysis, oral history documentation, and humanitarian action, Murshid has contributed to interethnic dialogue, peacebuilding, and youth empowerment initiatives.

He has presented at international forums including UN Youth2030, RightsCon, SEAHRN, and Model UN conferences, highlighting refugee protection, digital rights, and sustainable solutions for displaced communities. Murshid is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) at the University of the People and participates in global leadership and foresight programs, applying systems thinking and innovative strategies to address complex social and humanitarian challenges.

Murshid’s work reflects a commitment to amplifying refugee voices, promoting inclusive policies, and building platforms for youth-led change in humanitarian and educational contexts.
