Is there royal blood in your veins?

This year at the California Association of Museums conference, we're throwing democracy out the window and crowning a monarch for the museum world. Each aspiring royal will defend ONE essential element of museums and rally bannerpeople around that essence. The crown goes to the essence that attracts the largest army throughout the conference.

We are currently seeking (closet) princes and princesses ready to ascend to the throne at the conference.

To stake your claim, you must:

• pick a single "essence of museums" that you are willing to defend to the death
• be ready to champion your essence throughout the CAM conference, which involves knighting new followers (and wearing a cape)
• attend the opening and closing session of the conference (while wearing a cape)
