Music Man

Born in New Orleans & raised in both New Orleans & Kansas City Mo. MusicMan was introduced to music through his parents who always kept the latest soul records playing in the home. He was a very hyperactive child who kept his parents busy, but when it came to nap time, they would put on soul records , put him in his rocker, and he would rock and sing himself to sleep. Most kids playtime was toys, but his toys were album covers and record label logos. By the time MusicMan was in his teens , he had joined several dance troops and would also learn to DJ spinning r&b;, hip hop, freestyle, & house records. He also briefly was a member of the hip hop group InnerCity Mobb which combined street lyrics to sometimes militant lyrics that touched on social and political issues. He would later hook up with Lawrence & Treylin , two childhood friends and form Soul Agenda a twist between hip hop & neo soul. After Lawrence had gotten ill and later passed away, the guys disbanded right after they were discovered feeling that Lawrence could not be replaced. Treylin can be seen in several off-broadway plays through-out the NYC area and have worked with LL Cool J, Lauryn Hill, & 112...After several moves across america, MusicMan has caught the bug again to write, record, and play what he knows best and that is music. Having met some of who's who in music, the inspiration to achieve some of his goals musically pours out in his passion for DJing . Having played in various cities for various events , the changing of the music game sometimes baffles him as the american market tends to put music & artist into a box. With plans to put out compilations and one day run and operate his own production company, he believes that timing is everything. His love for neo soul, ambient, and soulful house music have his mind spinning a mile a minute coming up with creative ideas. He also would loved to put out a recording album claiming that he does'nt have the strongest singing voice but does have a creative edge with alot to write and sing about. His entire life have been testimony after testimony and he indeed wants to get some things out in the open to maybe one day help someone else who have also taken the same road he had. He believes that people should always follow thier dreams and not give in to what others may think. Years of laying low in the shadows have taught him great patience and he is very ready and sometimes anxious to continue to create art
