Frank Schmitz

My name is Frank Schmitz aka musik.poet. I am a singer-songwriter.
In addition to hobbies such as horse riding (I look after a foster horse), hiking, swimming, dancing, reading and cycling, I have always been very interested in music, singing and rhythm and enjoyed singing along to songs on the radio. It wasn't until 2016 that I had the opportunity to learn to play a musical instrument. That's how the first guitar found its way to me.
I quickly started to sing along while learning and practising. And so more and more songs were written in different ways, because I also like to write lyrics. Even though I'm certainly not going to be songwriter of the year 😉, I wrote and composed almost all the songs on my own.
In 2021, I was finally able to publish my first songs. I set up a small recording studio in the basement where I record my guitar and vocals. These recordings are then mixed, arranged and mastered by producers I work with.
It is primarily important to me to inspire you with my lyrics (in German or English) and suitable music, to give you food for thought, to give you courage, to cheer you up, to bring you joy and also to show you that there is always a way out of difficult situations. My own experiences and observations as well as some books play an important role in this.
