Hello, My name is Deniece. Well, it's really Meril Deniece but Mom started out calling me Deniece so that's what I stuck with. Mom let Dad give each of the children a first name and she gave us a middle name - all starting with D. She won out on what we were called. As children we were all called by our middle names. I'm the only sibling who sticks to that as an adult. I am happily married with seven (7) children and two (2) grands. My husband and I retired from our previous lines of work and now work together. The five older children are adults now and all pursuing ventures of their own. We have a son still in high school and a daughter in Middle School. Whew . . . It's almost over. For many years I worked as a systems analyst in a Fortune 500 company. Relocation required a career change. I moved from the East Coast to the Mississippi Delta. At that point, I became a High School Band Director. After ten years, my goals changed once again. I now work as Worship Leader for one church and Passionate Worship Leader for another while volunteering for a homeless shelter. As Worship Leader I plan alternative style worship sevices at a newly-formed church where comtemporary Christian rock is the preferred style of music. They meet each Sunday evening. I plan traditional/out-of-the-box Sunday morning services for a church established over 100 years ago. Anthems, spirituals, quartet, traditional gospel and comtemporary gospel are enjoyed by the congregants. After completing a BA in Music, I have studied graphic design, music education and began seminary two years ago. In addition, I am currently studing digital design and animation. I enroll in workshops and attend conferences to improve myself and my skills as often as possible. I gain joy from music, reading, the arts and spending time with friends and family. I also enjoy writing and surfing the web. My husband makes my day worth living. For all my accomplishments and the joy I have - to God by the glory!
