Alice Muthoni

Alice Gichuru is an author who writes as Muthoni wa Gichuru. Her first published novel, Breaking the silence, was first-run up for Jomo Kenyatta Literature Prize,junior category, 2011. She is also a short storywriter and her story, Boys and Girls, has been published in Fresh Paint Volume 2 (2015). Another shortstory, THE ITCH was shortlisted for the Commonwealth Short story prize 2015. -Muthoni wa Gichuru is anawardee for the The Burt Award for African Literature 2016 for a novella, The hidden package.
