Miklós Veszprémi

Miklós Veszprémi (*1994) is a pianist born in Barcelona. In 2001 he moved to Basel and entered the Musik-Akademie, where his teachers were J.-J. Dünki and R. Moser. At age 14 he performed Mozart’s Concerto no. 27 in Basel, and since then soloed in Concerti by Grieg (Menuhin Festival Gstaad) and Miranda, Falla and Chopin (Royal College of Music, London). He won 1st prizes for composition, piano solo and duo at the Swiss National Music Competition. In 2011 he began his studies at RCM with N. Fisher and N. Immelman, on scholarships from the Studienstiftung, Gerber-Stiftung, and the RCM. In London he performed at Purcell Room and Cadogan Hall and was broadcasted by the BBC playing Gubaidulina. Recently he did a concert tour in China, playing in 13 major Chinese cities. Currently, he is studying with S. Pochekin in Barcelona and is fortunate to further have been coached by D. Alexeev, D. Bashkirov, B. Berman, P. Feuchtwanger, P. Gulda, A. Schiff and A. Staier amongst others.
