Elizbeth Lavenza Frankenstein
My sister Caroline and I were adopted by the Frankenstein family when they found us living with my nobleman father and German mother. I was lovingly raised by the Frankenstein family and I later became Victor's wife. We were educated together until my dear sister Caroline and I were overcome with Scarlet fever. I luckily survived, however, my sister Caroline did not. After this tragic incident, I informed Victor of it, and kept the family together as best I could. While Victor was at school, I always tried to keep him informed of what was going on with the family even though he would not respond to my letters. I tried to always have a positive outlook on life, and help everyone in anyway I could. I aided Justine when she was falsely accused of murder and put on trial, I believed in her innocence and spoke on her behalf. Unfortuantely, I am later killed by the creature to drive Victor into a state of isolation more than he already is.
"She was docile and good tempered, yet gay and playful as a summer insect.
Although she was lively and animated, her feelings were strong and deep, and her
disposition uncommonly affectionate. No one could better enjoy liberty, yet no
one could submit with more grace than she did to constraint and caprice. Her
imagination was luxuriant, yet her capability of application was great. Her
person was the image of her mind; her hazel eyes, although as lively as a
bird's, possessed an attractive softness"
