mxg

I love food. It can be versatile and modified to fit your mood, your preference, your lifestyle. There are already a lot of online reviews for restaurants. However, I feel like these virtual spaces are mostly used as an outlet for a horrible experience. And I'm almost always skeptical of the positive ones. Did someone really enjoy their experience or is this PR writing anonymously?

Thus, mxg was born.

I've chosen to keep my identity hidden for only one reason. I want to grasp the experience of an everyday customer. What does it matter what a food critic says if owners have all resources in a restaurant pulled together to impress one person, for one day. I want the feel of the day-to-day. That's what makes spending money at a restaurant worth it.

I study at the University of Toronto for writing and communication. No, I'm not in school for culinary arts so technically I am unqualified. But I'm not looking to be a world-renowned chef. I'm looking for delicious food, great service, and atmosphere, which I consider the things that most customers look for. So let the culinary geniuses critique the chefs. I, your average customer, will critique the restaurant.

This is mxg, over and out.
