Welcome to the Apple Tutoring Service Inc., a Las Vegas in-home tutoring service for students K-2. Specializing in the areas of reading, mathematics, science and social studies.

Ms. Apple develops tailored instructional programs appropriate to the learning style of each student. While many teachers rely heavily upon the ability of their students to learn through listening, research shows that most children learn through their eyes and their hands. Large classes make personal attention very difficult and some students fall behind.

The one-on-one environment of the tutor affords Ms. Apple the opportunity to present subject matter with less lecture and more student-focused activity involving visual stimulation and hands-on exercises called manipulatives. This change in approach is highly effective for students struggling in the classroom as well as students who are “getting by”.

Students set specific goals and chart their progress weekly. Through goal setting and the development of “learning attack skills”, students become independent life-long learners early in their educational experience.
