Joshua Ming-Yuen Chan
Joshua M. Y. Chan is a teaching associate in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). He is also currently pursuing his legal studies as a Juris Doctor student in the CUHK. He received his BEng in computer engineering from the University of Hong Kong and MPhil and PhD degrees in computer science and engineering from the HKUST. He had been an program (instructional) assistance in the department of computer science. During his PhD study. He was appointed as the Teaching Assistance Coordinator. He was a trading developer of the quantitative research department in BNP Paribas Tokyo (Fixed Income) in Fall 2008 and technology analyst intern (ISGT - market making team) in Morgan Stanely in 2010. He was a research associate at the Visgraph lab in 2009 and 2010. His research interests include visual analytics, scientific visualization and law.
