I am a contradiction. I’m an athletic fiend. I’ve been running around on almost every type of field for as long as I can remember.Soccer, football, baseball, softball, basketball, hockey, boxing, etc, play a huge part in my life. All of this enthusiasm for activities is contradicted by my inability to watch any sports on tv. It’s just so boring to me. I do not understand how anyone can just sit there to watch them, especially the Super Bowl. I can not just sit there, I have to move around.
I am a soccer player. Actually, I’m a pretty awesome soccer player. I absolutely love the game. This sport shows/teaches the team how to work as a unit. It shows strength, endurance and tactical solutions. I love this game so much that one time I had broken my second toe, and I still finished the game. Not only did I finish the game, I played in every game in the season. I even practiced with my team. I did not let my broken toe keep me from playing soccer.
I am a leader. I am the captain of the soccer team. As a captain, I need to make sure that my team is working hard. I also need to help better their skills with the ball and solve some of the social distress within the team. I believe a leader should not think of the people that she/he is leading as below them or inferior. The people who follow a leader are a leader’s chief supporters. Without them, there is no leader. I believe a leader should take into account everyone’s opinions and ideas. A leader needs to be open to new things and not shoot his/her supporters down. Just like the group supports their leader, the leader has to support his/her group. A leader is chosen to lead a group because he/she is able to get things done as well as respect the people in the group. A leader needs to bring different people together to teach them and help them accomplish their goals. A leader should push her team to achieve higher goals while making sure everybody’s contribution is respected. A leader is someone who can lead his/her team to success as well as help them overcome the obstacles that stands in their way. A leader should notice some weaknesses in his/her group and be able to help them strengthen that area.
