Mykala Williamson

Portland, Oregon, United States

I am a photographer born and raised in Portland, Oregon. I have a modern style with a touch of spunk to make things more interesting and a tendency to make others laugh, which is convenient because I refuse to photograph a fake smile.

I have been carrying around a camera since the days of the Kodak disposables and I grew up in a house full of Ansel Adams prints. My Senior year of high school, I realized I wanted to be a photographer and have since studied photography under Colleen Cahill, Justin Myers, and become fluent in Photoshop and Lightroom thanks to Mark Fitzgerald.

I mainly photograph high school seniors, children and families, but I enjoy sports and action photography when the opportunity arises. I am also employed by Picture People, a job which has been immensely helpful to progressing my career.

When I'm not taking photos, I like to read, travel, play volleyball, relax, laugh, and explore. I long for a furry kitten and a big dog, endless smiles and butterflies.
