Mykie Delligatta

I am a 23 year old recent WSU graduate. I am another statistic that wasted $30,000 and 5 years out of my life on this apparently vital education to still be waiting tables for a measly $23k a year at the cost of my constantly throbbing lower back and rapidly descending uterus. At this point in my life, I have become a very bitter and angry person. I am scheduled to be betrothed in June to a man whom I love dearly but everybody in my family hates. I live in a shitty little 800 sq ft rental house on a tiny side road in Sidney, Ohio with my fiance, my Aussi-Heeler, and my fat orange cat. As I mentioned earlier, I wait tables (primarily) for a living at Michael Anthony's at the Inn at Versailles(VER-sai) in Versailles(VER-say-ells) Ohio , I am also the catering manager and social media specialist (by specialist I mean that I have never studied social media for a second of my life so I post specials to facebook once a week and occasionally send out a newsletter or write a blog). There's not too much that goes on in Versailles to keep a social media specialist particularly busy. Michael Antony's was spawned in Sidney, Ohio in a teeny weeny 14 table dinning room around the year 1995 by Micheal and Telisa Delligatta (original and current executive chef and dinning room manager). Suprise! These are my parents, and consequently I have been a paid Michael Anthony's employee for almost 12 years now. For the most part, I love my job, I love my coworkers, and I love all of the things that I have gotten to experience over my tender 23 years because of the environment that I grew up in. As a result of Michael Anthony's being such a huge part of my life, I have had the opportunity to learn more about food and wine than most people ever will in a lifetime. I have acquired an adventurous pallet and have become quite cultured at a young age (I can say "shit" in six different languages). As of right now, at this particular moment, I am trying to get out of Ohio. Nothing against it or anybody here, but I have been here my whole life. There are things that I want to do and places that I want to see. I'm going to see what NYC has in store for me. I have a touch of modeling experience, even less singing and acting experience, and a very dry and sarcastic attitude. I'm independent as hell, stubborn and ambitious. We'll see if any of that shit gets me anywhere.
