I have told myself that time and time again. I work hard and give it my best every second of the day. My passion is music! At the age of five I started piano lessons, one year later I started playing the drums for my church. Participating in my high school’s Marching, Jazz, Concert, Pit, and Symphonic bands, I emerged as an All-State percussionist and All-American Musician during my high school career. In 2001, I auditioned for the United States Marine Band and after passing I enlisted and attended the Armed Forces School of Music NAB Norfolk, VA. I have now earned the privilege of playing in the United States Marine Band while on active duty. Spending over a decade as an Active Duty Marine (Vehicle Recovery Chief, Motor Transport Operator, 1st Degree Black Belt Marine Corps Martial Arts Instructor, Marine Recruiter), I became more self aware and professionally sound. Traveling to different countries, blessed me with the gift to fully understand different types of cultural music and people. At the present moment, I am currently pursuing my passion in Music, (MYK Productions 47) Entrepreneurship & Innovation at the Mike Illitch School of Business in Detroit, MI and MBA in Data Science / Business Analytics (Go Warriors).
