Allison Mander

Hi! My name is Allison Mander. I took up baking by necessity when I found myself wanting to bake a cake for my son's first birthday party. Things have sort of just rolled on from there. Between working part-time as a sonographer and raising, well, a hell-raiser, I bake, cook, and generally make a mess of my modest domestic kitchen. I get inspiration from cookbooks, magazines, cooking classes, family and friends and, of course, the usual social media outlets. I love simple and easy dishes, and those 'stand back and smile' moments when you create a fabulous, tiered cake with all the trimmings.
