As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a background in research and treatment of issues such as trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder, Mynda Ohs offers extensive knowledge and experience to her patients. She has worked with individuals and families in crisis by providing accurate assessments and diagnoses, and then formulating and implementing effective treatment plans. She is a skilled and compassionate practitioner, able to offer counseling to indifferent and resistant clients as well as those who may be hostile and aggressive. Mynda Ohs is experienced in group therapy settings, guiding clients through issues such as anger management, conflict resolution, grief and loss, and suicide prevention. Mynda Ohs holds a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts and a Master of Arts in Educational Counseling from University of Redlands in Redlands, California. Ohs earned a second Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from California Baptist University in Riverside. She subsequently obtained her Ph.D. in Family Studies with a Concentration in Medical Family Therapy from Loma Linda University in California. Ohs also holds a Pupil Personnel Services credential, awarded by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing. Mynda Ohs worked as a Clinical Therapist at Loma Linda Behavior Medicine Center before completing 3,000 supervised hours as a Marriage and Family Therapist Intern for Catholic Charities. She continues her work there as a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist Intern. While performing her internship, Dr. Ohs also worked as Program Coordinator for the Why Try program at Catholic Charities. Mynda Ohs completed her doctoral internship as a Medical Family Therapist by serving as a Program Coordinator in Primary Care at SACH Norton. More recently, Ohs worked as Clinical Program Coordinator for Altus Academy, a school for at-risk youths in Rialto, California.
