My Recovery Road Trip: with Sean Morrison

Sean Morrison, 24, recovery warrior from Oakland County Michigan heads out across the county to celebrate recovery from addiction and mental illness. With experience and wisdom, Sean is a young person in long term recovery from drugs and alcohol. with a sobriety date of 2-1-2011 Sean traveled the country in the summer of 2012 to celebrate 60 stories of recovery and to break down the stigmas that keep 22.6 million americans from seeking help with an organization called Heroes in Recovery. This year Sean is heading out to celebrate a second time and to continue the process of breaking down sigmas. Sean is traveling to ten states for 45 days with a mission to celebrate over 100 stories of recovery. He has grown a following of over 20,000 before this years journey through his social media and is excited to get on the road. . Sean says “as more and more people listen to theses powerful stories of recovery, we can create a world where recovery from drugs and alcohol is not only accepted but welcomed by those who surround the addicted and/or mentally ill.”
