My name is Myriam, I'm 22 years old and a Senior at Southwestern Adventist University. My mayor is Psychology with Emphasis in School Guidance. I was born in the beautiful city of Leon, Gto, Mx and moved to the great city of Conroe, TX nine years ago with my family. I always dreamed of becoming a teacher, but during high school I fell in love with psychology and after a lot of thinking I decided that would do both, psychology and teaching. I love working with children and my only desire as a teacher is to help them find their path to success. I believe that a teacher is a counselor who does not only help a student learn but it also helps the student become a better person. Teaching is not a profession is a life style, one must think,act and live like a teacher and I believe the same for counseling. I feel like combining both areas can result in a good outcome because one not only learns how to teach but also learn how to counsel and be a bridge to those who need one.
