A political scientist, I hold a Ph.D. from the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po, 2011).
I am Assistant Professor at the University of Leiden, The Hague, and Associate Research Fellow at the Institute for Research and Studies on the Arab and Muslim World (Iremam, CNRS). I am also a member of the International Centre for Counter-terrorism (ICCT)’s editorial board.
Some of my recent publications include L’Etat islamique pris aux mots (Armand Colin, 2017) and Irak, la revanche de l’Histoire. De l’occupation étrangère à l’Etat islamique (Vendémiaire, 2015).
My current research focuses on emotions and politics. It makes use of political science, sociology (sociology of emotions) and social movement theory.
