Myron Pope is a dynamic leader with more than 25 years of experience in higher education administration and teaching. He also has extensive volunteer and professional work experience in state government. He currently works for Microsoft Corporation.
He completed his Ed. D. in Higher Education Administration (Adult Education) and M.A. in Higher Education Administration from the University of Alabama.
Myron Pope served as a vice president of student life at the University of Alabama since 2020. His significant responsibilities included assisting the institution in achieving its goals and objectives by providing strategic leadership for the Student Life 20+ departments. Myron Pope also establishes short- and long-term organizational goals, objectives, strategic plans, policies, and procedures focusing on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI).
As a Chief of Strategic Engagement at the Oklahoma Department of Human Services, Myron Pope provided leadership in developing community engagement/philanthropic opportunities for the 7000+ employees across the state.
Myron Pope also served as a Vice President of Student Affairs and Vice President of Enrollment Management at the University of Central Oklahoma. He has a strong entrepreneurial desire to develop a robust commercial presence.
