Skechers Distribution Center was in deep mess in the year 2012 with the claims of their Shape-Up shoes being able to tone butt and thigh muscles and encourage weight loss. Skechers claimed that six weeks of clinical trials were performed to conclude those results. However, The Federal Trade Commission said that the evidence presented for their claims were bogus and deliberately misrepresented.
