Dr Alnoor Abdulla

Dr. Alnoor Abdulla is a Cardiologist, with three decades of success, who currently lives in Vancouver, British Columbia.

He was born in Tanzania, East Africa. He earned his medical degree in 1975 from the University of British Columbia. A rotating internship, followed by a residency in Internal Medicine, was done at St. Paul’s Hospital (UBC), Vancouver. He went on to complete fellowship training in Invasive and Nuclear Cardiology with the University of California and then the University of Southern California.

The Board Certified Cardiologist practiced Cardiology for more than thirty years, in Canada and the United States.

Among the many academic appointments he has served are: the University of Toronto, the University of Southern California, the University of Ottawa Heart Institute and the Aga Khan University.

In Pakistan, Dr. Abdulla helped to establish and headed the Tertiary Cardiology Program at the Aga Khan University, during his tenure there. This enabled his strategic planning work for the development of the Cardiac Program at the Aga Khan University Hospital in Kenya.

Back on Canadian soil, Dr. Abdulla headed a variety of programs in north-eastern Ontario such as the North Eastern Ontario Cardiovascular Program, their Nuclear Cardiology, Pacemaker and Cardiac Rehab Programs plus Peterborough’s Catheterization Program.

Aside from a successful medical career, the doctor continues to be lauded for his educational presentations which always garner high praise from eager attendees.

Dr. Abdulla has authored many peer-reviewed publications and presented a host of abstracts. He has also proudly served on many Boards as Member, Executive Member, and Chairman.

His awards and honours are too many to list. Due to critical illness he left private practice in 2012, but remains busy contributing in many ways to his field of specialty.
