Strength Quest Reflection:

I took a strength quest test, which is a series of what seem like random questions. The results give you your top 5 strengths and their description. Futuristic was my number one strength. Being futuristic means that I tend to have a plan in mind. I know what I want and what I need to accomplish and I carry out my activities and set my goals in order to accomplish these ideas and plans. I found this to be very true, especially with my career plans. I want to be a military orthopedic surgeon. I have also planned out all the steps I need to take to get to that goal in the future. This leads me to be very focused and motivated in what I am doing in personal, academic, and athletic goals. This assignment allowed me to reflect on my self and be mindful of what my strengths are and use them productively.

Curriculum Plan Reflection:

The curriculum plan involved running an audit for my specific major and finding out all the requirements required for the major. After getting a glimpse at all the possible classes I might take, I then planned out my second semester of my freshmen year and my whole sophomore year. With the help of advisors and teachers I was able to put to rest the confusion and stress of not knowing what classes to take. This assignment was my favorite because it was so practical and helpful as a student in college. It took away a lot of stress and I am now aware of my career as a student at Ohio State.

First Year Success Series:

First Year Success Series are classes or activities around campus that introduce new students to Ohio State to the campus and resources around campus. We were required to attend four of these classes and write a reflection on them. I attended FYSS on stress, finance, visiting home, and adjusting to college. These series' were so helpful in getting me comfortable with this enormous campus. I learned what resources I can use to get help in specific situations, and acquired information to help me get through my first year. This will make my future at the Ohio State University much easier to handle and maneuver through.
